Varaform Ram Mask

The concept for this mask was a ram skull that progressed from life to death from bottom to top. The color palette is earthy and natural, and the hemp was used to enhance this feel and soften the structural appearance of the Varaform grid.

The Varaform was formed over a clay sculpt using a heat gun. There were several cuts made in strategic places to remove the mask from the mold. The pieces were reassembled using several layers of Varaform, which also helped create the ridges of the forehead and base for the horns. The horns were formed over an aluminum foil and paper base.
